     La la lu
     La la lu
     Oh, my little star sweeper
I'll sweep the stardust for you
     La la lu
     La la lu
     Little soft fluffy sleeper
Here comes a pink cloud for you
     La la lu
     La la lu
     Little wandering angel
Fold up your wings, close your eyes
     La la lu
     La la lu
     La la lu
And may love be your keeper
     La la lu
     La la lu
     La la lu
     Spoken:
     There now, little star sweeper
     Dream On

*She's beautiful. The most perfect creature in existence.* I think to myself as we stand next to the viewport and gaze out at the stars. "If I could, Dearest, I'd give you the universe." I look down at her as I hold her smaller form closer to mine.

Her doe brown eyes look up at me and widen. A small smile plays with her mouth and quickly turns to a yawn. A chuckle escapes my lips. "Tired?" I ask. "You've had a busy day, Sweetheart." I close my eyes and smile fondly as I remember the first time Kira ever called me that. Her small hand strokes my cheek to get my attention. My gaze travels over her beloved face. "I love you so much," I murmur into her hair.

"Computer, play musical program Odo-1A." The Bajoran classical pieces chosen for their quiet, relaxing melodies fill the air. Humming along, I waltz slowly around the room holding my heart's treasure securely in my arms.

We stop in front of the viewport again and rock gently back and forth. Her hair is soft under my lips as I kiss her head. Her head falls gently to my shoulder as she looks at the stars with sleepy eyes. "The stars are beautiful, aren't they? One day when we have time off, you can pick one, and we'll just drop everything and travel to it. So many possibilities out there, and each is a world we can explore."  I adjust my arms around her so she's more comfortable and rub her back as she falls asleep. I feel her heartbeat against my chest.

I don't even hear the doors whoosh gently open, so content am I to look out at the stars with the precious being in my arms. Another pair of arms, older and stronger, reaches around my waist and holds me tightly. Carefully, I look over my shoulder to see the other love of my life looking up at me.

"Hello, Nerys. Have a good day at work?" I feel Nerys' head move up and down against my back in affirmation. She kisses my neck as a way of quietly saying hello.

"Is she asleep?" she asks quietly, unhooking her arms and coming around to my front.

I look down at my daughter's blond head and nod. "Just a moment ago. My little star sweeper and I were looking at the stars."

Nerys smiles at our baby and softly kisses her. With a little adjusting, I can hold both in my arms. This is what heaven feels like.

We stand there for the longest time and just gaze out at the stars.

  The end.
